Maple Holistics Tea Tree Shampoo

Maple Holistics has one goal in mind: to provide a natural, holistic range of premium products which can enhance hygiene, health and daily living.

A representative for the holistic company recently reached out to me, wondering if she could send me product for a feed back review. I graciously accepted the offer and took my pick from their line of holistic shampoos. I ended up choosing their tea tree oil shampoo! I LOVE tea tree oil, I often used it directly on my scalp back when I wore braids, and weaves to soothe my regularly irritated scalp. I also actually used a tea tree shampoo when I was younger as well, from the Paul Mitchell shampoo line. The tea tree oil helped to combat what was in my mother’s opinion the oiliest scalp on the entire planet. So my former success with tea tree oil led me to make the choice once again. Especially since we are in the winter months, and I might as well freaking live in Canada given how cold it’s been here lately, the soothing effects of tea tree oil certainly happened to be a beneficial choice for my hair and scalp.

The Tea Tree Oil shampoo from Maple Holistics includes the following list of ingredients: Aqua, Jojoba Oil, Botanical Keratin, Argan Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil, and Rosemary Oil. Maple Holistics promises this product promotes healthy hair growth. Can slow hair loss, shedding, and thinning hair. Helps prevent flaking and dandruff. Capable of soothing an irritated scalp. Potential to naturally eradicates lice. Leaves hair and scalp rejuvenated and fresh.

I waited until I had run out of my current shampoo to begin using the Maple Holistics Tea Tree Oil shampoo. The tea tree smell is not overwhelming by any means. While I enjoy the smell of pure tea tree oil, not every body does and it can be a bit much. So for those of you out their who may be turned off by the odor it’s good to know that this shampoo does not smell very much like tea tree oil. As far as use goes, I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve tried natural shampoos before and they just didn’t quite seem to clean my hair the way that traditional shampoos do. I felt like they would leave my hair still feeling greasy, and dirty, I just didn’t get that squeaky clean feeling I was so used to. This shampoo however cleansed just like any other and left my scalp feeling soothed, my hair clean as a whistle, and still left it full of body and shine. It definitely served it’s purpose and I don’t have many negative things to say about the product honestly.

I will say, that one down fall I found was that I felt like I need a larger amount of shampoo than I normally would. I’m not sure if that’s just a me thing, or if everyone would feel this way. I’m leaning towards the slight lack of lather being the culprit for my need of extra shampoo. Other than that I do not have anything else negative to say.

I have been using this shampoo from Maple Holistics for roughly a month now, and I still have a good amount left in the bottle. I definitely think that it’s worth the money to purchase this natural, and safe shampoo for literally the same price, maybe even less than what you are probably paying for your current shampoo. Especially knowing how bad regular shampoo actually is for your body with all of the sulfates and chemicals.

I definitely noticed a slight change in the amount of shedding that I suffer from. It’s honestly horrific and there’s probably something wrong with me, I may end up bald in a few years who knows, BUT I did notice that I was shedding just a little bit less while using this shampoo. Coincidence or not I do not know but it certainly is something I noticed.

Overall I’d recommend this shampoo to anyone in the market! I didn’t try the paired conditioner from Maple Holistics, but they do have one for the Tea Tree Oil shampoo and I’m sure it works just as well.
