wasabi-for-lipsForget expensive lip injections, with this secret ingredient this DIY lip plumper will be your new go to beauty trick.

This DIY lip plumper will give you amazing visible results almost immediately! One of our favorite beauty guru’s Farah Dhukai put wasabi to the test as a do it yourself lip plumper, and god damn it the results are fascinating!

If you have never tried wasabi before, let me warn you it is EXTREMELY spicy. A quick little antedote here for you; one time I was at a sushi restaurant with a group of friends celebrating a birthday, I don’t eat sushi, or anything remotely close to any type of Asian cuisine, which my friends find rather ironic since I am Asian myself. So needless to say, I had no idea what wasabi was. I was sitting their eating a bowl of plain brown rice, minding my business when someone says “oh Britt have you ever tried this? Put it on your rice it’ll be good”. I glanced at the weird green substance and thought, eh what the hell? They convinced me to try soy sauce and I liked that, so I went for it. I ate a chopstick full of wasabi and rice, and nearly choked to death while my friends laughed so hard on actually fell on the floor. I have never tasted anything so spicy in my entire life! So if you don’t know what wasabi is, please, please, heed this story as warning before you rub it all over your lips. It’s probably not as spicy as actually ingesting it, but I can imagine the feeling on your lips is not all that great.

In an interview with Refinery 29, a dermatologist by the name of Joshua Zeichner explains that wasabi is a skin irritant. Therefore it can be concluded that using wasabi as a DIY lip plumper is actually extremely affective. The wasabi irritates the skin on your lips causing them to swell and appear larger. He claims that using wasabi as a lip plumper is not harmful as long as it’s done within moderation.

🐝NATURAL LIP FILLERS – get SOFT, PLUMP, FULL, lips without needles or sucking on cups or objects 😳🙄As you may have noticed, I have VERY wrinkly lips and its cold AF in Toronto so now theyre super dry too. Wrinkly + Dry = worst combination ever!! SOOO.. THIS one trick is a great way to get plump lips that look like youve had fillers – theyll be extremely soft, wrinkles will be filled in, theyll have a natural pink color, and theyll be so plump ppl will think youve had them done🙃 all you need is: ✅WASABI! – $4 for a tube at the grocery store or you can keep the leftovers from sushi dates 🍣 😛take a tiny amount and rub it all over your lips ⏰leave on for NO MORE THAN 1 minute wipe off with a damp cloth or baby wipe 💦moisturize IMMEDIATELY! I used my @farsalicare Rose Gold Elixir ✨- you can use whatever you prefer to moisturize your lips, the key is to make sure to moisturize! there you have ittttttt .. pillow soft lips! you can apply a lip color on top if youd like but i personally like how it looks with a plump natural pink color the plumpiness lasts a whole day for me – but everyone is different so results will vary from person to person. The wasabi does sting but it's less than your traditional lip plumper and the effects last longer 😗 👯don't forget to share this video with a friend who wants a lil plump job and help a sis outtttt and like this video 👍🏾 Disclaimer: As with any skin care regimen, always do a test patch first to see if your skin is allergic to any of the ingredients. Everyone's skin is different, so result can vary from person to person. I can not vouch for any substitute ingredients. This post is provided for information and educational purposes. Farah used wasabi paste purchased from the grocery store for a mere $4! Hell yeah that beats several hundred for injections, or even $20-$30 for a lip plumping gloss. She smoothed a small amount of paste over her lips, and instructs us that you leave the wasabi paste on for NO MORE than one minute. She then immediately moisturizes her lips with Farsali elixir, but says you can use whatever you prefer, I would recommend, olive oil! As you can clearly see, her lips look significantly plumper, and have that full, Kylie Jenner-esque appearance everyone seems to be chasing after.

This DIY lip plumping method certainly works, but you must use it with caution. If you have a negative reaction to the wasabi cease use, and be sure to not over use this method either. Wasabi is not something that you should be applying daily to your lips. The skin on our lips is very thin, and fragile, over using wasabi and irritating our lips too much can lead to some not so fun skin problems.

Happy plumping!
