Girl, shut the hell up! You can now buy MAC cosmetics at … ULTA!
Sephora is so salty right now…
Who would have ever thought Ulta would be the store to strike a deal with the holy brand!
As we all know MAC isn’t the easiest cosmetic brand to get your hands on. MAC is sold online, and at MAC counters in select departments stores as well as in free standing MAC boutiques. Makeup addicts everywhere have been awaiting the day that a store such as Sephora would begin selling the coveted brand. But no one was waiting for the day that Ulta would begin selling MAC, because… uhm… who ever thought that would happen?
MAC is probably one of the top, if not the top prestige brand in the makeup world, and that doesn’t necessarily coincide with Ulta’s image. Ulta indeed does carry some hot brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Bare Minerals, Urban Decay, etc., but Ulta is a bit more low end than high end in the eyes of most beauty lovers. The beauty world gasped in awe when NARS announced that they would begin selling their line in Ulta. Again, NARS is another prestige brand that was homed inside Sephora for years before it was brought to Ulta. MAC is going in an interesting direction, though they will broaden their customer base by expanding into Ulta stores, they will be attracting an entirely new type of customer. MAC will now be more accessible to the masses, those who are shopping at Ulta may not be the same customers who were previously shopping at Macy’s or Nordstrom. This might be good for sales, but what will it mean the for the prestigious MAC brand?
Though shocking, I am sure that we can all set our shock aside long enough to enjoy the benefits of easier access to cult favorite products such as MAC’s Fix Plus, Ruby Woo, the Basic Bitch Palette, and so much more.
MAC cosmetics should be making its way to Ulta online during the month of May, and will begin hitting stores in June. By the end of 2017 it should be in most Ulta locations.
