Hydration is sooooooo important as a new mom. Like I cannot stress that enough, especially if you’re breastfeeding or pumping. Yet, it can be extremely hard to stay hydrated when you’re a new mom. Between resting and healing yourself, and taking care of your newborn it’s a lot easier said than done.
I suck at drinking enough water as it is. On top of it after I had my son I was exclusively pumping and boy did that take a lot out of me. I felt like no matter what I did I couldn’t eat or drink enough. I decided to switch up my water bottle (I formerly carried around a green Gatorade squirt bottle as my emotional support water bottle). I personally prefer cold water, so I decided I needed a water bottle that was insulated and could keep the water ice-cold, something that was easy to carry, and something with a straw because for some reason if it has a straw I just notice I tend to sip more. Simply making the change to a different water bottle helped me substantially when it came to staying hydrated.
Thermoflask
Thermoflask keeps drinks cold for up to 24 hours, as well as hot for 12 (because new moms need coffee, am I right?) making it the perfect multipurpose water bottle. Thermoflask also comes with two different lids, one for chugging, and one for a straw, making it easy to opt for whatever suits you better. It does come in a handful of different colors, including both white and black if you’re the kind of person who prefers a simpler aesthetic.
Simple Modern (AKA The Tinx Cup)
All hail queen Tinx. If you have no idea who Tinx is she is Tik Tok’s big sister. Christina Najjar, famously known as Tinx is an influencer like no other, and she has some pretty top-notch product recommendations. One of which is the Simple Modern cup. I can personally attest that Tinx has raved about this cup so passionately my cheap ass even bought one.
The Simple Modern cup comes in a handful of different sizes, and 30 something different colors/ patterns. One of the things I love about this cup is that it comes in some really aesthetic colors like “graphite”, and “sea glass sage” (love). As well as chic patterns like “carrara marble”. It comes with two lids, one straw, and one flip. And it comes with a lifetime warranty! I highly recommend you jump on Amazon and order this cup now! One of the reviews literally says and I quote “Not to be dramatic but, I would die for this cup”.
Hydro Jug Artic Glass
64 oz! This bad boy is perfect for the momma’s who hate math. I constantly find myself trying to remember how many times I refill my water bottle throughout the day, and how many ounces it is so I can make sure I’m on track. With the Hydro jug, it’s easy enough, two jugs and you’ve had a gallon of water. Made from borosilicate glass, this water bottle is durable and able to stand up to extreme temperature changes. Not to mention it will save your peace of mind knowing it doesn’t have any chemicals from cheap plastics.
Tronco Glass Tumbler
The Tronco water tumbler is made of glass- a bonus for the non-toxic girlies- and comes with a real wood lid. With the lid comes a matching straw. Perfect for those who prefer drinking out of a straw. Don’t worry, the cute silicone sleeve adds a touch of color, and protects the glass from minor spills and falls.
Healthish Waterbottle
The Healthish water bottle is the water bottle of all water bottles for mom’s who love a good aesthetic and also need a little push in the right direction to stay hydrated. Each side is marked with times so you can keep track of how far along you are in your day. Though recommended to fill twice a day, at 32 ounces per bottle, some may wish to fill up 4 times a day to hit a gallon!
Bink Mama Bottle
The Bink Mama bottle is literally made to support the hydration of pregnant, new, and nursing mothers.
Bink says “Keeping properly hydrated matters more in pregnancy and postpartum. Both you and your baby depend on it”.
This glass bottle is covered with a thick protective silicone sleeve, comes with a convenient carry cap, is wide enough to fit an ice cube (some of us know how important this is), and is dishwasher safe for moms who don’t quite have time for hand washing dishes.
